At NAISAK, education isn’t limited to what happens within our campus—it extends to a global stage. Through the Global Campus platform, our students are empowered to collaborate, create, and connect with over 80,000 peers worldwide from across the Nord Anglia Education family.
What Is Global Campus?
Global Campus is an exclusive online learning platform that unites students from Nord Anglia schools around the world. It offers challenges, competitions, collaborative projects, and enrichment opportunities in everything from STEAM and performing arts to languages, global issues, and wellbeing.
“It’s like a little social media platform where students can share ideas, comment, support one another and really engage in learning that extends far beyond the classroom,” says Ms. Victoria Hughes, Global Campus Lead at NAISAK.
What Makes It Unique at NAISAK?
At NAISAK, Global Campus is deeply integrated into student life. It's used across primary and secondary, embedded directly into lessons and schemes of work, and designed to support both academic and personal growth.
“It breaks down the barrier of the normal school day and lets them expand and meet others beyond that,” explains Ms. Hughes. “Students are learning about different cultures, developing global understanding, and even practicing new languages.”
From Year 1 learning about space to Year 10 debating global issues, students use the platform to dive deeper into topics with a global perspective. “It’s cross-curricular. We enhance topics like science through MIT challenges or link literacy to real-world global conversations,” she adds.
Real Achievements, Real Recognition
NAISAK students have shined on the Global Campus stage, earning international recognition for their achievements:
Winners in international debates: NAISAK primary and secondary debate teams triumphed in a global competition against schools from Europe and China.
“It was intense, but they rose to the challenge. Our debate club, with the support of teachers, helped them prepare and win multiple rounds,” says Ms. Hughes.
Reels Project success: Out of 960 global entries, NAISAK had 20 students shortlisted, 4 placed as division runners-up, and 2 won overall.
“They thought outside the box. Seeing their reactions when they won was amazing,” she recalls. “Two of them even participated in a masterclass with Lord David Puttnam. That was massive.”
Young Musician of the Year: Student participation has grown from a few entries to over 10, showcasing rising interest and talent in performing arts.
Global Sports Challenge: The PE department led a whole-school effort to clock over 10,000 kilometers, contributing to a global fitness initiative.
Arabic Pen Pal Project: NAISAK partnered with a Dubai school in a first-of-its-kind Arabic-language pen pal exchange.
“It was the first time Arabic was added to the pen pal activity, and it meant so much to our students to communicate in their mother tongue,” Ms. Hughes shares.
Ask the Artist participation: NAISAK students had their questions answered by world-renowned artists, bringing real-world engagement into creative classrooms.
Wellbeing Toolkit: Embedded into PSHE lessons, the toolkit helps students explore personal development topics alongside peers from around the world.
Empowering Student Leadership
This year, NAISAK launched the Global Campus Student Leaders initiative, allowing students from Year 3 to Year 10 to apply and lead monthly challenges, help with engagement, and become ambassadors for global learning.
“They applied like it was a real job. These students were connected through ClassDojo, completed leadership modules, and then implemented what they learned in school-wide activities,” says Ms. Hughes.
Looking ahead, these student leaders will evolve into Global Campus Ambassadors, with greater independence and impact. “Next year, they’ll really be able to fly with it. It’s a student platform, and they should be leading it.”
An Academic Advantage
Global Campus has become a core part of NAISAK’s educational strategy. Every department, from EYFS to Secondary, embeds Global Campus projects into their curriculum.
“Teachers are planning around it—from space in science to digital citizenship in PSHE. It’s not just an add-on anymore; it enhances learning across all subjects,” explains Ms. Hughes. “And students are engaging weekly, sometimes daily. It’s become the norm.”
Thanks to the collective efforts of teachers and learning assistants, student engagement has soared. NAISAK has earned the Gold Award for Global Campus engagement two years in a row, and expectations are high for a third.
“The growth has been incredible. From logging in to winning awards, it’s now part of who we are as a school,” says Ms. Hughes proudly.
